1924 set of photographs of the model dairy farm for the state of Louisiana. Owned and operated by Robert R. Ryan Sr. and Francis D. Ryan. Agriculture played a big part in the history of Alexandria.

This dairy farm was located across from the Cabrini Hospital on Masonic Drive and Texas Avenue. Shown are: the homestead, the dairy barn, the processing room and the milking stalls. Remember in 1924 this was all done by hand...no machines.
